Arista v. County of Riverside (2018) 29 Cal.App.4th 1051. [This case addressed liability during search and rescue operations.]
Armendariz v. Penman, 31 F.3d 860 (9th Cir. 1994), rehearing en banc granted, opinion on rehearing en banc 75 F.3d 1311 (9th Cir. 1996). [This case addressed qualified immunity concerning code enforcement operations.]
Bailey v. County of Riverside, 414 F.3d 1023 (9th Cir. 2005). [This case addressed use of force by law enforcement officers and the deadline for a motion for attorney’s fees.]
Benigni v. City of Hemet, 853 F.2d 1519 (9th Cir. 1988), modified 868 F.2d 307, modified 879 F.2d 473. [This case addressed liability of law enforcement officers for investigations of a bar.]
Bostrom v. County of San Bernardino, 35 Cal.App.4th 1654 (1995). [This case addressed liability of an owner of an airport for negligence of its tenants, and compared the airport to a shopping mall.]
In re Castro, 919 F.2d 107 (9th Cir. 1990). [This case addressed the standard of review of a bankruptcy court decision in an appeal to the district court.]
Chaker v. Crogan, 428 F.3d 1215 (9th Cir. 2006) (amicus brief). [This case addressed the validity of Penal Code § 148.6, which made it a misdemeanor to file a false report against a law enforcement officer.]
Coppinger v. Rawlins, 239 Cal.App.4th 608 (1015). [This case addressed issues concerning dedication and acceptance of real property during land development.]
County Inmate Telephone Service Cases (2020) 48 Cal.App.5th 354. [This case addressed contentions that provisions in jail telephone contracts violated the California Constitution and California statutes.]
County of Riverside v. Superior Court (Madrigal), 27 Cal.4th 793 (2002). [This case addressed the validity of a waiver in the context of a background investigation of a prospective law enforcement officer.]
Cumming v. City of San Bernardino Redevelopment Agency, 101 Cal.App.4th 1229 (2002). [This case addressed the statute of limitations for a CEQA challenge.]
Flethez v. San Bernardino County Employees Retirement Assn., 2 Cal.5th 630 (2017). [This case addressed the starting date for interest on an award of retirement benefits.]
Green v. County of Riverside, 238 Cal.App.4th 1363 (2015). [This case addressed liability of law enforcement officers for a use of force and issues concerning admission of expert witness testimony.]
Irwin v. City of Hemet, 22 Cal.App.4th 507 (1994). [This case addressed the liability of a city for a jail suicide.]
Jenkins v. County of Riverside, 398 F.3d 1093 (9th Cir. 2005). [This case addressed whether a temporary employee has a property right in the position if the employment extends beyond the original termination date.]
Jenkins v. County of Riverside, 138 Cal.App.4th 593 (2006). [The court of appeal rejected the Ninth Circuit’s holding and held that a temporary employee has no right to the position if the employment extends beyond the original termination date.]
Jocer Enterprises v. Price, 183 Cal.App.4th 559 (2010). [This case addressed the statute of limitations for an action for legal malpractice.]
King v. CompPartners, Inc. (2018) 5 Cal.5th 1039. [This case addressed whether the workers’ compensation exclusive remedy provisions apply to an outside medical utilization review company.]
Manta Management Corp. v. City of San Bernardino, 43 Cal.4th 400 (2008). [This case addressed liability of a city for code enforcement concerning an adult business.]
Morgan v. Davidson (2018) 29 Cal.App.4th 540. [This case addressed issues concerning use of a deposition during trial, the statute of limitations and punitive damages.]
People v. Stanistreet, 29 Cal.4th 497 (2002) (amicus brief). [This case addressed the validity of Penal Code § 148.6, which made it a misdemeanor to file a false report against a law enforcement officer.]
Roberts v. College of the Desert, 861 F.2d 1163 (9th Cir. 1988), modified 870 F.2d 1411. [This case addressed liability for sex discrimination in employment and the application of the 11th amendment to a community college.]
Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System v. Superior Court, 195 Cal.App.4th 440 (2011) (amicus brief). [This case addressed whether wage information of public employees can be obtained in a Public Records Act request.]
Salazar v. Diversified Paratransit, Inc., 117 Cal.App.4th 318 (2004) (amicus brief). [This case addressed liability of a business for sexual harassment by a customer.]
Saman v. Robins, 173 F.3d 1150 (9th Cir. 1999). [This case addressed liability of a law enforcement officer for a fatal shooting and issues concerning qualified immunity.]
San Bernardino Physicians’ Services Medical Group, Inc. v. County of San Bernardino, 825 F.2d 1404 (9th Cir. 1987). [This case addressed whether breach of contract can be litigated as a federal constitutional violation.]
Sanchez v. County of San Bernardino, 176 Cal.App.4th 516 (2009). [This case addressed liability for making statements in violation of a confidentiality clause in a settlement agreement.]
Soto v. County of Riverside, 162 Cal.App.4th 492 (2008). [This case addressed whether a public employee can be required to pay half the costs of a hearing officer in a disciplinary appeal.]
Stubblefield Construction Co. v. City of San Bernardino, 32 Cal.App.4th 687 (1995). [This case addressed liability of a city for zoning decisions.]
Stubblefield Construction Company v. Superior Court, 81 Cal.App.4th 762 (2000). [This case addressed the deadline for a challenge based on Code of Civil Procedure § 170.6 following a reversal on appeal.]
Urethane Foam Experts, Inc. v. Latimer, 31 Cal.App.4th 763 (1995). [This case addressed whether a default judgment can be entered against a corporation without first providing the notice required by statute.]
Watson v. County of Riverside, 300 F.3d 1092 (9th Cir. 2002). [This case addressed whether a federal court can award attorney’s fees if it grants a preliminary injunction and This case is then dismissed as moot.]
Z.V. v. County of Riverside, 162 Cal.App.4th 492 (2015). [This case addressed liability of a public entity for off duty sexual misconduct of an employee.]

Brewster v. Southern Pacific Transportation Co., 235 Cal.App.3d 701 (1991). [This case addressed whether an attorney was properly sanctioned for misstating the terms of a temporary restraining order and causing trains to be re-routed.]
Campbell v. County of San Bernardino, 705 F.2d 1128 (9th Cir. 1983). [This case addressed whether the father of a child taken into protective custody by County’s Child Protective Services Department could represent himself and the child.]
Keniston v. Roberts, 717 F.2d 1295 (9th Cir. 1983). [This case addressed liability of a public entity for disconnecting utilities.]
